New Year, New You
- 02 Jan, 2025
The new year gets a lot of people in the gym. With stacked resolutions and ambitious goals, these people become regulars for at least the first week. However, very soon, a single missed gym day kills this motivation making many give up on their fitness dreams for the year, but this doesn’t need to be the case. The very first thing newcomers need to realize is that working out is a lifelong activity, and in this long process, missed gym days and weeks might occur, but that’s no reason to give up entirely. Instead, a missed day should get you back to the gym the next day with double the fervor.
Another reason many quit is the lack of instant results, becausewhen a week of hard work leaves you looking the same then continuing the next week is tough, but a wise man once said “Trust The Process”, so while you may look the same in a week, continue persevering, and soon enough you will see improvements. Now, these improvements don’t mean that you’llachieve your dream physique within a month or even that year, but that’s where consistency comes into play, small improvements over time eventually lead you to your big goal.
Those are some ways to stick to your New Year plans as new gym goers, but if you’re a regular then try beginning the year with a bit of goodwill by helping out newcomers by correcting their form, sharing your experiences, or simply complimenting their progress once they’ve been at it for a while.
Finally, make 2025 yours by starting the year with a bang, maintaining that momentum throughout the year, and not giving up on your goals.
A very happy New Year from Lift-Like-Teens
